  2. For those, I'm lost too.
For #52, I distributed the 1/2 then took the derivative of everything and eventually got this:
    1/4((x-1)/(x+1))((-2)/(x-1))+1/4((x^2)/(1+x^2))

I'm stuck here, probably because I fail at algebra

But knowing us, we probably should have taken the derivative of 1/2 first which is 0 right? and multiply everything in the () by 0, thus giving you 0. But it's probably not that simple. Just because it is math. :)

  3. I'll be quite honest with you guys...I winged this homework.

This ... stuff... had a lot of simplifying to be done. Just try what you can. We will ask Mrs Robinson in class tomorrow.

  4. Ashley, you shouldn't have distubuted the 1/2, instead you do 1/2 open parenthesis and then do the rest of the derivative... then when you come back to do the algerbra, then distrubute the 1/2
